(More customer reviews)I have used Filter Queen vacuums for many years and always purchased Genuine Filter Queen cone filters. When I bought a used Filter Queen online, it came with a generic cone filter and the first thing I noticed was that it was incredibly thin compared to the genuine cones. It lets dust through to the filter, which in turn damages your motor over time. I was always amazed how the genuine cones never let ANY dust or dirt through. The side of the cone facing the dust cup would be brown while the side facing the motor would remain pure white. Not so with the generic cones. The genuine cones are also much thicker. It's like comparing one ply toilet paper with three ply.
