(More customer reviews)They're very good coffee filters and the price is right. The cost-per-filter here on Amazon is less than even the store brand at my local grocery store. I have used Melitta filters most of the time for the last 5 years or so, and I expect to continue using them. Here's why with comparisons to the competition:
Versus the metal cleanable filters: Fewer grounds get through with paper & it's disposable so no washing.
Versus the store brand: I have never had a Melitta rip between the coffee maker and the garbage and I have had the store brand rip. So I guess the double-crimped seams do make a difference. As for the flavor enhancing indentations, I ran a head-to-head flavor comparison yesterday between Melitta and a store brand filter, and I could not taste any difference.
Nevertheless, I recommend Melitta and I've done the price compare, so I buy my Melitta filters on Amazon.
