(More customer reviews)My coffee pot at work died and had to get a new one. However, I can only bring in coffee makers with 3-prong plugs, a.k.a. commercial. I also wanted the timer so it is ready in the morning and it had to be a 12-cup since I share the pot with one other person at work. This was $20 more before Christmas and first week of Jan went down $20 to $54 which is the cheapest cost for a commercial automatic (timer) 12-cup coffee pot that I could find.
It is very easy to set the current time or brew time and I love the 2 hour timer that turns off after 2 hours so it does not burn it up if you forget to turn it off. Also, this came with a built in removeable mesh filter which can save you money by not buying cone filters. That is usually about $12-15 extra but was included. The water bubble level as you pour in the water is pretty accurate but watch out because the coffee temp is pretty hot. I usually sip my coffee immediately after getting out of a machine but this is much hotter. There is no control for this but maybe my previous coffee pot was old and did not heat up as much. Maybe this will also get less hot as it ages. Even at the original price and considering the permanent removeable filter saving you cone filter costs, it is still a good deal. ALso, cone filters give you better coffee flavor because the coffee is concentrated to a point where the water goes through. This seems rugged enough to last a few years.
