(More customer reviews)Hirts provides seeds quickly and most seeds are sent in small handmade packets. It was nice to see the personal touch of hand written or typed instructions. I made several large purchases and was excited about getting my garden started. I did order one plant and it did not arrive in a good condition. Hirts was very quick to refund my money for the plant after I supplied a picture of how the plant arrived and mailing label. Hirts has a wonderful array of unusual seeds which is extremely inviting especially for an eager gardener in the middle of winter. I ordered many variety of flowers and vegetable seeds. Like others who have left similar reviews, my germination rate was extremely poor to non-existent. I did complain and Hirts was prompt in getting back to me and did refund one of three of my orders.
As an example, I splurged and ordered 10 pelted cotton candy petunia/bacopa seeds for $7.99 (that's $.80/seed!)as I was intrigued with the blended pelted seed. What I received were not pelted seeds and appeared to be just ordinary petunia seeds. I have asked for another refund for the remaining two orders and have not received any response. I'm would have love to tell you give them a chance as they are quaint and seems to have lots of variety to choose. But with my experience of planting and watching nothing grow and receiving inferior products warrants a low rating.
